Cutelets in beer jacket

There are years that I’ve eaten or prepared a cutlet. And because my son they like to eat, we have the typical Slovak, tonight as we call it in the East: “rizek” with beer.

Preparation time 45 minutes


  • 1 kg pork chops
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 160 ml beer
  • 1 egg
  • butter or oil for frying
  • salt



Put the chops on cutting board, do the cling film over it and beat them tender with a meat hammer.

In a bowl beat the egg and mix together with white beer and flour until dough is not too thick. Transfer the chops to taste with salt and pepper (or as you wish), cover them lightly in flour and cover them softly with batter. Then fry in hot fat or oil in a pan. Keep the fried chops warm until they are all ready.

In meanwhile cook the new potatoes and prepare green salad.

Prepare the elderflower vinegar by mixing all ingredients for vinegar together.

Serve the chops on warm plates with new potatoes and green salad, seasoned with elderflower vinegar.

I sprinkled the salad with a little elderflower vinaigrette. It tastes very fresh and yummy.
