Bolognese with vegetables

Typical Italian Bolognese sauce, this time with carrots and celery, so that children and the elderly will not suffer from constipation after eating only meat 🙂

Preparation time 90 minutes

INGREDIENTS .. 10 portions

  • Italian tomato sauce →
  • 2 lb minced beef
  • 3 Tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 Tbsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 3 stalks of white celery
  • 3 carrots
  • 4 Tbsp olive oil
  • handful of fresh basil
  • 2 large onions, finely chopped
  • salt & pepper

PREPARATION

First prepare the tomato sauce according to the recipe in the link.

Finely dice the onion, white celery and carrots. Now heat the oil in a pan, add the oregano and garlic and fry them briefly while stirring. Add minced meat along with the vegetables, add spices; salt and pepper and fry everything together.

The meat should not contain any lumps after cooking, but should remain just as smooth. When it is almost done and the vegetables are still crispy, but no longer hard, add chopped basil (or dried) in smaller pieces and fry briefly. Set aside and mix with the prepared tomato sauce underneath. Let it cool and you can freeze it.
Or sterilise →; if you chose to; while still hot.
