Elderberry vinegar can be used as an alternative to balsamic vinegar and is especially nice with cheese.
Preparation time 45 minutes .. Storage life 1 year
INGREDIENTS .. 550 ml
- 300 ml elderberry syrup
- 300 ml red wine vinegar
Put the syrup and vinegar into an dish and cook for 45 minutes, stirring regularly to ensure, it’ll not boil hard.
Remove from the fire, sieve it and let cool down. Bottle when cool.
Never bottle hot vinegar, or it might explode!
