Quark balls with strawberry

Another perfect recipe of my friend Tana. Super tasty and typical Slovak quark balls with strawberries. You may also like it as dessert. De children definitely love them!

Preparation time 25 minutes .. Cooking 25 minutes


  • 500 g quark
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 2 yolks
  • pinch of salt
  • 350 g little strawberries
  • raspberry coulis


Mix together flour, salt, quark and egg yolks till dough. If the dough is sticky add a little flour. Knead the dough to a roll, and cut of little pieces for balls.

Wrap each strawberry into dough piece like plum dumplings. Cook in a big pot water with a little salt and bring it to a boil. When water starts to boil, put it into dumplings and when they come to surface, let them cook for 5 more minutes. Then set them out and put them to the plate.

Sprinkle the balls fried breadcrumbs, topped with smelted butter and dusted with sugar and serve immediately.
