Martin’s apple slice

Favorite cake of my cousin Martin.

Preparation time 20 minutes .. Baking 15-20 minutes

    • 1 kg apples, peeled & grated
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • sugar to taste

    • 600 g cheese
    • 200 ml whipping cream
    • 50 g fine custard sugar
    • 2 sachets vanilla sugar
    • pinch of cinnamon
    • 3 eggs
    • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Prepare a compact sour cream dough according to the recipe in the link and divide it in half. The first half put in baking dish. Mix approximately pounds grated apples with sugar and a teaspoon of cinnamon. Cover the first half of the dough with apples and cover with second half of dough. Prick the top with a fork. The dough needs no cover (but brush him with beaten egg). Bake in preheated oven at 180°C (convection ovens -20°C) between 15-20 minutes or until red.

Let the cake cool and sprinkle before serving with a little icing sugar.

Or possibly make the cut with a curd filling:
Beat cream cheese and cream in a large bowl. Beat together the sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Add the eggs one by one and 1 tablespoon maple syrup while stirring. Pour the batter into the cake pan and bake for about 35 minutes. In this case you do not have to put the dough on top, but you can.
