Grandma’s lokshe

Typical Slovak classic and favorite dish of my holidays by Grandma.

Preparation time 50 minutes .. Baking 20 minutes


  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 350 g flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 150 g melted butter
  • icing sugar


Boil potatoes in salted water, let cool and puree them finely. Mix them on the worksheet samet with the flour and salt into a firm but soft dough. Roll the dough into a roll with a diameter of approximately 5 cm and cut pieces of 2 cm thick.

Caution! Potatoes are like water in a while so you will need to use more flour.

Roll them in flour with very good sprinkled on top and bake the dry pan on both sides. Put them on a plate and rub on both sides with melted butter.

Serve dusted with icing sugar or salt (as required) and glass of milk.
