Typical Slovak X-mas classic turned into little, cute stars.
Preparation time 15 minutes .. Baking 18-20 minutes
THE WALNUT DOUGH .. 80 pcs
- 1 1/2 cup durum wheat flour
- 1 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup + 1 tbsp margarine
- 160 g custard sugar or 280 g powder sugar
- 6 egg whites
THE GLAZE
- 6 yolks
- 1 1/2 cup powder sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 1 tsp lemon sap
PREPARATION
Mix the fat and sugar until foamy. Whisk egg whites until stiff. Add the flour to the yolk foam add the sugar and ground nuts and slowly mix the whites. Pour the dough in the pastry bag and fill with it the forms. Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for about 18-20 minutes. While the cake bakes, prepare the glaze.
GLAZE
Mix the egg yolks with the sifted powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Mix the well and pour into the pastry bag. Pour over the still hot cakes.
Let them cool down and enjoy!
