Savory shallot pie

A delicious recipe of my mother in law. Blessed with glass of cider!

Preparation time 10 minutes .. Baking 30 minutes


  • 6-7 shallots
  • 230 g puff pastry
  • 2 tbsp bread-crumbs
  • 200 g Brie cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 dl sour cream
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 15 g butter
  • salt & pepper


Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Cut the shallots into rings. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the shallots.

Grease a quiche mould with butter and cover them with puff pastry. Prick with a fork holes in the dough and sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the bottom.

Cut the cheese and put the pieces of the pie crust. Beat the eggs with the sour cream and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper and pour the mixture over the shallots and cheese on the bottom.

Bake for about 30 minutes in the oven.
