Mint syrup

Delicious refreshment suitable for Mojito.

Preparation time 10 minutes .. Rising 24 hours .. preservation time 1 year

INGREDIENTS .. 4 liters

  • 20 sprigs of fresh mint
  • 10 g of citric acid
  • 10 g food acid
  • 800 g – 1,2 kg sugar
  • 2 l water

PREPARATION

Wash the mint and put them in a large preserving jar of 5 l. Add the citric acid, food acid and pour 2 liters of water over it. Close the jar and shake it here. Keep the pot 24 hours in a cool place. Next day, strain the liquid, add the sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves. Enter the syrup into sterilized bottles.

TIP
You may use the syrup for soft drinks, teas or preparation of Mojito drinks. Also vodka with mint syrup tastes great.

IMPORTANT!
Never use the flowering mint. If she gets flowers she is weakest and you will not get an tasty and aromatic syrup.
