Fruity leather

Original discovery of my friend Tana.

Preparation time 7 minutes .. Drying 9 hours

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 mango
  • 125 g raspberries
  • juice from 1/2 lemon
  • 2 banana’s

PREPARATION

Tana indicated in her recipe ratio of 300 g of banana to 1 kg of desired fruit. I wanted to do first just some test, so I modified the recipe and used also a lemon juice, to preserve the color of the fruit after drying. Mango is my favorite fruit, raspberries too, so I could not miss it.

I first pureed all the ingredients in a blender and then spread the result in a thickness of 2 mm on baking sheet covered with teflon foil. Later I learned from Tana, the mix have to be. 4 mm thick before drying. But there is nothing wrong with it. Instead of the normal 9 hours of drying to the mass of 4 mm in thickness, I dried the leather in an oven preheated to 80°C only for 6 hours.

My two cravers have viewing the result first as an excavator on earth. First it was tasted by “the Landlord” and he found it very tasty. My younger gastronomer did refuse first, but the next day he could not resist and I had almost nothing to take pictures of. And now I have do it all over again.

And then I will enjoy it as well.
