Dessert à la gratin

Delicious, fruity delicacy in case your candy box disappointed down the line.

Preparation time 10 minutes .. Baking 20-25 minutes


  • 2 large ripe pears
  • zest from 1/2 organic lemon
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 4 eggs
  • 80 g sugar
  • 100 g ground almonds
  • 1-2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp almond shavings
  • butter to grease the dish
  • icing sugar for dusting


Grease a baking dish.

Wash the pears, cut them into quarters and remove the core. Cut into wedges and sprinkle immediately with the lemon juice.

Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt and meanwhile add the sugar. Fold in the egg yolks one at a time. Fold in the ground almonds and lemon zest. Spoon the mixture into the baking dish. Divide the pears on top. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over it.
Bake the crust for 20-25 minutes in a preheated oven at 200°C. After 10 minutes, sprinkle the almonds and bake the gratin off.

TIP: Delicious with vanilla or chocolate sauce.
