Coffee chocolate turban

Decadent, delicious, enormous, full of coffee and chocolate taste. Pure heaven in your mouth.

Preparation time 30 minutes .. Baking 90 minutes

INGREDIENTS .. 6-8 pers

  • 4 tsp of instant coffee powder
  • 200 g marzipan
  • 130 g chocolate
  • 1 tbsp chocolate mocha beans
  • butter and breadcrumbs for the oven form
  • 250 g soft butter
  • 500 g brown sugar
  • 1 sachet vanilla sugar
  • salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 375 g flour
  • 1/2 sachet baking powder
  • 5 tbsp cocoa powder (50 g)
  • icing sugar


Mix the coffee powder with 250 ml of boiling water. Let the tea cool. Chop the marzipan coarse. Chop the chocolate fine. Grease a turban shape (ø22cm, content ca. 2,5 l) and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

Beat the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt to a cream. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Mix the flour with the baking powder and cocoa and stir it together with the coffee through the cream. Mix the marzipan and chopped chocolate into the batter.

Spread the batter into the mold. Bake the turban about 90 minutes in a preheated oven at 175°C (fan oven 125°C). Deck if the turban after approx 1 hour.

Let the turban about 15 minutes in the form. Bulk him out of the mold and let it cool completely. Sprinkle the turban with icing sugar and decorate with the whole mocha beans.
