Clafoutis with blueberries

French clafoutis with Canadian blueberries. We prefer Slovak, wild blueberries but here in Belgium you’ll not find them. But still, it was delicious dessert for the evening.

Preparation time 10 minutes .. Baking 40 minutes .. Size 25 x 25cm


  • 500 g blueberries
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 ml milk


Wash and strain the blueberries.
In a bowl, mix the sugar and eggs, add the flour and salt, mix with milk, you get a light batter and as a pancake batter. Grease the baking thin with the butter, sprinkle with blueberries and pour the mixture on them.

Bake the clafoutis in a moderate preheated oven (175°C) for about 40 minutes, sprinkle with some more blueberries and icing sugar. The clafoutis can be served warm or cold.
