Sardine tomatoes

Fresh, tasty and quickly made appetizer.

Preparation time 30 minutes


  • 100 g can of sardines in own juice
  • 20 g butter
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tbsp chopped chive
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • salt & pepper


Remove the bones from the sardines and mash them with a fork in a bowl fine.
In a separate bowl, combine the butter, mustard, parsley, chives and lemon juice to a smooth mixture. Mix the mashed sardines gently into the mixture and season with salt and pepper.

Cut the tops of the cherry tomatoes. Remove the seeds and fill them in with sardinemengsel. Put the tops back on the tomatoes stuffed tomatoes.

Serve the meatballs immediately or store them in the refrigerator until use.
