Red Pepper pinwheels

Fast and savory snacks from my mother’s pesto, almonds, cheese and ham. Nothing stands in the way to celebrate new friendship. 🙂

Preparation time 10 minutes .. Cooling 30-45 minutes .. Baking 15-20 minutes


  • 230 g puff pastry (1 sheet)
  • 60 g ground almonds
  • 80 g grated cheese
  • 10 thin slices of black forest ham
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
  • 1⁄2 lemon
  • salt & pepper


Mix in bowl all ingredients except the ham and dough. Roll the dough into a sheet of 3 mm thick and rub it with a generous layer of pesto.

Place a sheet of parchment paper on the baking sheet and arrange the slices then filled pastry. Bake the snacks in the hot oven at 190°C for 15 to 20 minutes.

Once they are fried golden brown, you can serve the guests.

Serve the snack warm.
