Easter short breads

Original short breads for Easter. You can make them out of each dough you like.

Preparation time 10 minutes .. Baking 10-15 minutes


  • 140 g butter
  • 100 g fine sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla-extract
  • 200 g flour
  • 50 g almond powder


Preheat oven to 150°C (320 F).

Beat the butter with the sugar until creamy. Add the egg and vanilla extract. Beat them it well.

Add the flour and ground almonds and mix well. Stop beating when the mass is homogeneous.

Make a ball of dough, wrap it in cling film and place for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator to cool.

Roll with designed rolpin the dough after cooling completely in thickness of 3 mm and cut out the cookies with using Easter shaped cutters.

Lay the cookies on a baking or bakfolie covered baking sheet and bake them in the oven for about 15 minutes, until lightly golden start to become. Let cool and enjoy them.
