Another perfect recipe from my mom. This time apricot balls of quark and semolina.
Preparation time 25 minutes .. Cooking 25 minutes
INGREDIENTS .. 4 pers
- 500-600 g quark
- 4-5 tbsp semolina
- 2-3 eggs
- 1-2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 3-4 tbsp custard sugar
- 350 g little apricots
- pinch of salt
- milk butter
- icing sugar for garnish
PREPARATION
Mix together flour, salt, quark and egg yolks till dough. If the dough is sticky add a little flour. Knead the dough to a roll, and cut of little pieces for balls.
Wrap each piece of apricot into dough piece and make a ball. Cook in a big pot water with a little salt and bring it to a boil. When water starts to boil, put it into the dumplings and when they come to surface, let them cook for 1 more minute. Then set them out and put them to the plate.
Sprinkle the balls fried breadcrumbs, topped with smelted butter and dusted with sugar and serve immediately.
